ERIC Wildlife Recording Conferences

We’re delighted to be able to announce that, in the place of our annual recorders conference, ERIC NE are hosting a Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS) Conference at the Great North Museum: Hancock on Saturday 16th March 9:30 – 14:00. ERIC NE are working with each LNRS in the North East to create their Strategies.

What are Local Nature Recovery Strategies?

The conference will share information on LNRS and present opportunities for you to provide some valuable initial input – and with a particular focus on species . The recording community’s knowledge is vital to help the Responsible Authorities develop their strategies.

The conference starts at 9:30am with refreshments leading into the introduction to the conference at 9:50am.

Delegates can find out how to get to the Great North Museum:Hancock on the museum website

We’ll have a host of interesting speakers illustrating explaining Local Nature Recovery Strategies, how we can incorporate species into these and you’ll have the opportunity to provide some initial input into each LNRS process.

We’ll be asking delegates to discuss the draft species longlists that have been created based on DEFRA guidance for each LNRS area. We’ve added these lists to our below alongside the Defra guidance on Species Recovery within LNRS.
